High percentage of CDI Ignition deficiencies occur due to a plug wire with a loose or with an open terminal connection.
If you are experiencing poor engine performance, remove and check the continuity of the plug wire with an ohm meter.
To solve this problem, we had the CDI factory make 30mm long replacement leads with boot terminals having a snap-in threaded plug screw connection that give zero ohm resistance and secures attachment.
30mm long wire is 10mm longer than found on standard CDI's.
Many premium model motorcycles have this same type of boot terminal.
It requires the plug to have the screw on cap removed so the spark plug threaded end goes into the boot snap-in connection. Both cable ends will now have treaded screw to wire connections.
Supplied with 30mm long wire to enable cutting to length as required and for mounting further away from a hot engine.
To remove the old cable from the CDI just twist it counterclockwise just like unscrewing a right-hand nut and clockwise to reinstall the new wire.
